Connect Transit has launched a new mobile app specific to the Bloomington-Normal system.
The new, Connect Transit branded, mobile app provides improved features, to make accessing mobile information about Connect Transit services much more user friendly while continuing the ability to view buses in real time and see when rider's buses are expected to arrive at your stop.
New features include trip planning, access to rider announcements such as detours, and the ability to bookmark frequently used stops. Another improvement to the app is the addition of custom alerts. These alerts will allow riders to set their own times to be notified of bus arrivals. All maps on the new app are embedded with Google Trip Planner so that riders will be able to see any detours on their route.
The new Connect Transit App has replaced the existing Doublemap App, and is available by searching Connect Transit in the App Store or Google Play.
