Dec. 3, 2015

TE Connectivity (TE) announced its C-Lite cable family of lightweight marine cables has received classification certification from the China Classification Society (CCS), making the C-lite family certified by eight of the top marine classification agencies in the world.

“The C-Lite family of cables are vastly small and light, letting customers do more with less,” said Mark Casselton, product manager, Global Aerospace, Defense & Marine, TE. “And with TE’s new manufacturing facility in Kunshan, China, we are now able to better serve our customers in Asia with shorter lead times, helping them get to market faster.”

C-Lite cables deliver a thin-wall insulation. From general power and lighting to communication, control and instrumentation applications, the C-Lite cable family is designed for use in a variety of commercial marine, offshore and military marine applications.

In addition to the recent classification certification from CCS, TE’s C-Lite family of high-performance lightweight marine cables are certified by seven other leading marine classification approvals, including: ABS (American Bureau of Shipping), BV (Bureau Veritas), DNV (Det Norske Veritas),GL (Germanischer Lloyd), KR (Korean Register of Shipping), NK (Nippon Kaiji Kyokai) and RMRS (Russian Maritime Register of Shipping).
