The National Railroad Construction and Maintenance Association (NRC) has awarded Railworks companies high safety marks for their 2021 performance.
Each year, the NRC recognizes contractor member companies for their dedication to workplace safety and creating a culture that promotes safe operations through management and training programs. Nominees undergo extensive evaluations for the awards, including a review of OSHA statistics, roadway worker protection training, safety program elements and more.
RailWorks companies received the awards at the annual NRC Conference & Exhibition in Phoenix, Ariz., on Jan. 6.
Nine RailWorks companies achieved Gold Status, which is the second-highest distinction. Companies honored include:
- RailWorks Track Services
- RailWorks Track Systems
- RailWorks Maintenance of Way
- RailWorks Signals & Communications
- RailWorks New York Transit
- PNR RailWorks
- L.K. Comstock National Transit
- NARSTCO
- HSQ Technology
“Safety has always been a top priority at RailWorks, but the importance has grown even more over the past few years,” said Kevin Riddett, RailWorks president and CEO. “Our company’s focus and training programs reflect the importance of safety throughout the entire organization.
