The Sonneville LVT system consists of a concrete block (with rail fixations) sitting on a resilient pad, encased by a rubber boot. The polyurethane micro-cellular resilient pad provides load distribution similar to ballasted track and reduces the influence of low frequency vibrations, mainly responsible for ground borne noise. Sonneville LVT offers fast and easy installation using common top-down construction methods and equipment. One recently completed project that utilized the LVT system is the LAMETRO Regional Connector. This project utilized both Standard and High Attenuation LVT. Construction Polymer Technologies is the North American licensee/manufacturer of the Sonneville LVT system.
