Penn Machine manufactures and repairs right angle and parallel shaft gearboxes, both single and double reduction configurations, containing helical, spur, hypoid and bevel gears for rail transit. Penn Machine precision-grinds its gears to meet AGMA 12 standards and all products comply with Buy America requirements. The rebuilt gearboxes include new bearings, fasteners, shims and gaskets. The program includes Faro arm dimensional and CNC CMM tooth inspections, as well as gearbox no-load spin testing that exceed OEM specifications for vibration, temperature and noise.
