Erwin is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers, American Railway Engineering and Maintenance-of-Way Association, and is a record holder at the National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying.
John Erwin has joined the complex bridges & structures technical excellence center of WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff as a senior engineering manager and will lead bridge design in the firm’s Austin office.
Erwin has more than 35 years of experience designing rail and highway structures. His areas of expertise include curved steel, prestressed concrete and through-plate steel railway bridges, steel and prestressed concrete rail bridges, foundations, piers, retaining walls, wet wells, tanks and box culverts. Prior to joining WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff, he was engineering director of rail bridges at STV.
Erwin received a B.S. in civil engineering from Louisiana State University at Baton Rouge.
