Generator Controls

June 17, 2010
Northwest Rail Electric generator control systems have been used in railroad passenger cars ranging from maintenance of way equipment to luxury tourist cars.

Northwest Rail Electric generator controls are designed specifically to meet the needs of the railroad passenger car industry. Automatic start when head-end power or wayside power fails and feed of the HEP trainline to other cars are only the start of the many features. Certain models have electronic interface systems to allow connection to various electronic engine systems, while other models are designed for retrofit to older engines. While primarily designed for use with railroad passenger cars, our generator control systems have occasionally been used in a variety of other specialized transportation systems.
