The American Public Transportation Association recognized the efforts of Rep. Bill Shuster (R-PA), chair of the House Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure, who recently released a “draft discussion” bill on an infrastructure investment package.

“We are pleased that Chairman Shuster has renewed discussion on infrastructure legislation to address the underinvestment in our nation’s aging infrastructure and the long-term solvency of the Highway Trust fund,” said APTA President and CEO Paul P Skoutelas.  “APTA and its members look forward to working with Congress, the administration and industry stakeholders to develop a bipartisan proposal to significantly grow our infrastructure investments in a sustainable and predictable manner.”
