Corpus Christi Regional Transportation Swears in New Board Member, Philip C Skrobarczyk

On Wednesday, March 7, 2018 Philip C. Skrobarczyk was sworn in to serve on the Board of Directors for Corpus Christi Regional Transportation Authority.

On Wednesday, March 7, 2018 Philip C. Skrobarczyk was sworn in to serve on the Board of Directors for Corpus Christi Regional Transportation Authority. The city of Corpus Christi appointee, Philip C Skrobarczyk, will replace Eddie Martinez’s vacant position as he was appointed Board Chairman.

During his time, Skrobarczyk will serve by supporting the mission and values of the CCRTA by; developing policy, providing legal and judiciary oversight, working directly with the CEO, Jorge Cruz-Aedo, and its various departments, focusing on good financial stewardship and accountability of public funds, advocating for customer representation and engaging in strategic planning.

Skrobarczyk is a pillar within the community and an advocate for various organizations. Skrobarczyk has 39 years in the industry which includes 35 with Fulton*Coastcon. He is a graduate of King High School and a graduate of Texas A &M University with a Bachelor’s in Building Construction. He received the Texas A&M Distinguished Student Award and was a member of Tau Sigma Delta Scholastic Fraternity.

“Our Board of Directors is complete and I look forward with great anticipation to work with such an accomplished group of people,” said Jorge Aedo-Cruz, CEO.

The board is comprised of: city of Corpus Christi, two appointees by the Small Cities’ Mayors Committee, and three appointees by Nueces County with a board appointed chairperson. The Board also utilizes two standing committees. Members of the committees are appointed by the Board Chair subject to confirmation by the Board. All policy issues and operational matters must first pass through the Administration Committee or the Operations Committee before action can be taken by the Board.
