Dewberry has announced the promotion of Andy Kioko, PE, to associate. Based in the firm’s Fairfax, Virginia, office, Kioko is a project manager and civil engineer working with commercial, residential, military, and rail and transit clients.

With more than 13 years of experience, Kioko’s design background includes water distribution, wastewater collection systems, site layout and road design, site grading, hydrologic and hydraulic floodplain modeling, and site permitting. He also has experience in construction management including construction quality control, design and contractor oversight, client representation, change order management, schedule review, and contractor progress payment processing.

Recently, Kioko served as civil designer on the Westmoore at Moorefield project, a nearly-600 townhome community with associated infrastructure and road improvements in Loudoun County, Virginia. He was also a staff member on the Dulles Corridor Metrorail Project–Silver Line Phase 2 project.

Kioko earned his master’s degree in global development and social justice from St. John’s University (2015) and his bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Notre Dame (2004). He is a professional engineer in Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, D.C.
