The Thursday morning commute will be a lot more exciting than normal for some lucky MetroBus riders on September 21 thanks to the St. Louis Cardinals. Fredbird, the beloved Cardinals baseball mascot, will surprise passengers who board a Cardinals-themed Metro Art Fleet Bus by giving away free baseball tickets.

Sometime between 7 a.m. and 8 a.m. on September 21, Fredbird will hop on the Cardinals Art Fleet Bus somewhere in the St. Louis area, greet riders on their way into work or school and give away the tickets to one of the upcoming Chicago Cubs vs. St. Louis Cardinals games at Busch Stadium.

Metro and the Cardinals will not announce ahead of time what route the Cardinals bus will be traveling on that morning because that would spoil the surprise. Fredbird will hand out the baseball tickets until they are all gone so MetroBus riders will have to be at the right place at the right time to snag tickets.
