rabbittransit has announced the launch of eight Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) vehicles into its fleet for service since the opening of its public CNG station this past summer.
The new station in York was primarily built to meet the needs of rabbittransit’s growing fleet of CNG buses, but is also open to the public 24/7. The station provides service to vehicles of all sizes, including light-, medium- and heavy-duty trucks.
rabbittransit will convert another 10 diesel buses to CNG over the next four years. “CNG is clean transportation fuel. Not only will it help reduce our carbon footprint, but it will help reduce our maintenance costs as well as create jobs in Pennsylvania,” commented Richard Farr, rabbittransit executive director.
