Alliance AutoGas is a national sponsor of this year’s National Alternative Fuel Vehicle (AFV) Day Odyssey. Scheduled to coincide with Earth Day, this event aims to showcase alternative fuels and advanced technology vehicle options.

National AFV Day Odyssey is a nationwide celebration conducted to educate the public about the importance of alternative fuel and advanced technology vehicles and to promote their widespread adoption. The event was created by the National Alternative Fuels Training Consortium, a program of West Virginia University, in 2002. The NAFTC has coordinated the nationwide Odyssey campaign since that time.

Harris Baker, president of Pinnacle Propane, an Alliance AutoGas partner, will be speaking on behalf of Alliance on the Gaseous Fuels (Natural Gas and Propane Autogas) panel held on April 20th at 10:30 am during the AFV Day Odyssey Summit. Baker said, “This is a great opportunity for promoting the use of propane autogas and educating numerous audiences on alternative fuel and advanced technology vehicles. We are looking forward to the host of events and we are proud and honored to carry the Alliance AutoGas flag.”

Besides the panel, attendees can find Alliance AutoGas at booth numbers 781 and 782, as well as at National AVF Day Odyssey events in North Carolina, South Carolina, Florida, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Alabama, Virginia and Indiana. Other sponsors include the Propane Education and Research Council. The U.S. DOE Clean Cities Program, West Virginia University, Earth Day Texas, and the Dallas-Fort Worth Clean Cities Coalition are national partners of the event.
