COTA Appoints Vice President of Government Affairs and Strategic External Communications

The Central Ohio Transit Authority (COTA) has announced the appointment of Laura Koprowski to the newly created position of vice president of government affairs and strategic external communications.

The Central Ohio Transit Authority (COTA) has announced the appointment of Laura Koprowski to the newly created position of vice president of government affairs and strategic external communications. In this position, Koprowski will oversee government affairs and coordinate strategic external communications, developing and implementing advocacy strategies to promote public transportation and COTA initiatives in the community.

Koprowski joins COTA after more than 20 years in progressively responsible positions at the Mid-Ohio Regional Planning Commission (MORPC). For the past 10 years, she served MORPC as its public and government affairs director. In that position, Koprowski served as the chief public information officer and director of government affairs and advocacy programs. She was responsible for developing and implementing effective public relations and government strategies to protect and enhance MORPC’s reputation, and promote the position of MORPC and its numerous political subdivision members on a variety of external and internal issues.

Koprowski has a Masters Degree in Public Administration from Bowling Green State University and a Bachelors of Arts in Political Science from Ohio University. She lives in Grandview Heights.
