Cubic Corporation recently announced that David Buss, senior vice president and president of Cubic Global Defense (CGD), was inducted into the fourth annual 2017 Wash100 list of most influential executives in the government contracting (GovCon) industry by Executive Mosaic.

The Wash100 is the premier group of private and public sector leaders selected by Executive Mosaic's organizational and editorial leadership as influential executives in the GovCon sector and recognized for their leadership, innovation, reliability, achievement and vision. This year represents the fourth annual Wash100 award selection.

“I am honored to become a part of this prestigious group of GovCon leaders,” said Buss. “Cubic is dedicated to providing industry-leading training solutions to our military forces and we will continue to deliver next-generation solutions that enable our performance-based training – our NextTraining strategy.”

“The GovCon market is well positioned for an exciting year of growth and prosperity in 2017 and these winners through their leadership and vision will shape and impact the industry,” said Jim Garrettson, president and founder, Executive Mosaic.

Buss joined CGD as senior vice president and deputy president in June 2015 and was promoted to his current role of president in May 2016, following more than 36 years of service in the U.S. Navy. He retired from the U.S. Navy in the rank of Vice Admiral after serving for more than two years as Commander, Naval Air Forces (the Navy’s “Air Boss”).

Buss’ induction to this year’s Wash100 is the third consecutive recognition a Cubic executive has received since 2015.
