Oct. 17, 2016
The Sener engineering and technology group has been certified by ENAC (the National Accreditation Body) as an independent safety assessor (ISA), pursuant to standard EN17020 on Inspection Services for Railway Components and Subsystems.

The Sener engineering and technology group has been certified by ENAC (the National Accreditation Body) as an independent safety assessor (ISA), pursuant to standard EN17020 on Inspection Services for Railway Components and Subsystems.

The increase in safety requirements, together with the specific features of design and production processes and the national and international development of rail services and infrastructures has led to the need for certified assessors. As a result, Sener has obtained the certification required to provide such services in the areas of infrastructures, energy, control-command, and signaling and rolling stock in the European Union, where such assessments are mandatory. Similarly, outside the EU, countries such as Mexico, UAE and Australia also require inspection services from certified firms such as Sener to bring added value to their projects.

This certification, which is renewed on an biennial basis, confirms Sener’s global leading position in the field of engineering and consultancy services for rail services, as we help our clients to meet the strict safety requirements throughout the entire project life cycle.
