NJ Transit Police Conducted Emergency Response Drill at Riverline Yard in Camden

The NJ Transit Police Department (NJTPD) Office of Emergency Management (OEM), together with local law enforcement partners, conducted a training exercise on Saturday, September 24th at the RiverLine Light Rail Yard in Camden.

The NJ Transit Police Department (NJTPD) Office of Emergency Management (OEM), together with local law enforcement partners, conducted a training exercise on Saturday, September 24th at the RiverLine Light Rail Yard in Camden beginning at 8 a.m.

The drill, which gauged responses to a simulated transportation incident, will take approximately four hours to complete and there was no impact on light rail service. Also, there was be an increased presence of police and emergency personnel throughout the RiverLine and particularly in the area of 36th Street Station. In addition to the NJTPD personnel, the following entities also participated in the exercise: Bordentown Twp Police Department and the Riverton Police Department.
