SEPTA Media Relations Director Carla Showell-Lee has announced the promotion of Andrew Busch to the position of chief press officer.

SEPTA Media Relations Director Carla Showell-Lee has announced the promotion of Andrew Busch to the position of chief press officer. Busch will continue working with the SEPTA Media Relations team to coordinate media outreach.

Busch joined the SEPTA media relations department as a press officer in May 2009, and most recently served as a public information manager. He has played a key role in the Authority’s efforts to promote transparency and to provide timely, thorough information in response to media inquiries.

Busch has nearly two decades of experience working in the Philadelphia news market. Prior to joining SEPTA, he was a writer and producer at CBS 3 (KYW-TV), and a reporter and editor with the Philadelphia Metro newspaper. He started his career as a reporter with the Gloucester County Times in Woodbury, New Jersey.

Busch is a graduate of Rutgers University-Camden and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science with a minor in Journalism.
