Charlotte Area Transit System has selected Tangee Mobley to be the general manager of bus operations. She is responsible for managing all aspects of bus operations including fixed route service, Special Transportation Service (paratransit), bus maintenance and vanpool.
Mobley brings a wealth of knowledge gained over decades in the transit industry. Her most recent position was with Central Florida Regional Transportation Authority in Orlando, Florida, where she was director of transportation and maintenance. Mobley oversaw the transportation operations of 2400 square miles of service area. Prior to this position, she worked with the Metropolitan Transit Authority of Harris County in Houston as the senior director of transportation. Mobley was responsible for five operating facilities with nearly 1600 employees. She rose through the ranks at Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority from bus operator to general superintendent at the beginning of her career.
