Austin, TX, leaders gathered in the City Hall atrium the morning of May 10 to unveil two new TransitScreen displays. Mayor Steve Adler, City Manager Marc Ott and cofounder Ryan Croft demonstrated the device and explained how it fits into Austin’s transportation future. Chief Sustainability Officer Lucia Athens and Robert Spiller, Austin Transportation Department Director were also in attendance.

“TransitScreens are a great way to use technology to make mobility more accessible to everyone so they have easy alternatives to being stuck in their cars during rush hour,” said Mayor Adler. “It’s innovations like this that will make the ‘Year of Mobility’ a real thing in people’s lives, and I encourage other downtown employers to use TransitScreens as well.”

The City is hoping to use its new City Hall TransitScreens as a model for other building owners and employers to adopt the technology.
