Dallas City Council Names Long-Time DART VP to Board

Former DART vice president of marketing and communications, and current Richland College faculty member Sue Bauman has been appointed to the Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) board of directors by the Dallas City Council.

Former DART vice president of marketing and communications, and current Richland College faculty member Sue Bauman has been appointed to the Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) board of directors by the Dallas City Council. 

Bauman joined DART in 1984 and served as an agency vice president until her retirement in 2011. She joined Richland as adjunct instructor in government in 2011. 

Long active in the community, she has served on the boards of the Dallas Zoological Society, North Texas Crime Commission, Dallas Convention and Visitors Bureau and the McKinney Avenue Transit Authority.

Bauman is a graduate of The University of Texas at Dallas, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science and Urban Studies, and a Master of Public Administration degree from Southern Methodist University.

She replaces Robert Strauss of Dallas who was appointed to the DART Board in 2006.
