First Transit Appoints New Regional Vice President

First Transit announces the appointment of Dee Leggett as regional vice president. In this new role, Leggett will support the Transit Management Division by providing oversight and sharing expertise with location teams and customers.

First Transit announces the appointment of Dee Leggett as regional vice president. In this new role, Leggett will support the Transit Management Division by providing oversight and sharing expertise with location teams and customers. Leggett will also assist in the development and support of First Transit’s passenger rail efforts.

“Dee has a great deal of transportation experience working with a variety of transit models and professional roles,” said Rick Dunning, senior vice president of First Transit. “We’re fortunate to have her capabilities and diverse talents as we continue to support our vision of keeping people moving and communities prospering.”

Leggett has nearly 20 years of transportation in areas such as customer service, marketing, human resources, strategic planning and operations. She was chief operating officer at the Denton County Transportation Authority (DCTA), a multi-modal operation combining rail and bus service. She was most recently a senior consultant with LTK Engineering Services, Inc.

Leggett earned her bachelor’s degree in history and political science from Union University and a master’s degree in public administration from the University of Texas at Arlington. She is a 2014 graduate of the Leadership APTA program through the American Public Transportation Association.
