Every day, thousands of people walk on the docks metro stations, outgoing and incoming train or waiting for the next. While the vast majority of travel runs smoothly, incidents occur unfortunately. You can prevent such situations by adopting safe habits.

In the coming weeks, the STM will set in motion a campaign in the metro network to educate customers the right to behave on the dock to prevent incidents but also how to react in case an incident occurs. Here are the main messages.

Standing too close to the way

The train arrives in station at 72 km / h. For your safety, stay behind the yellow tape touch.

Travel on the road or tunnel

Each year, more than 100 people traveling on the road or tunnel to the risk of serious or fatal injury. This behavior is liable to a $ 500 fine or civil or criminal prosecution.

Use the assistance point

If you witness an incident on the platform, locate the assistance point. We find one on every subway platform. Pick up the red phone therein and follow the instructions.

You witness a fall on the way? Do not put your life at risk by descending on it. Instead, use the Help Point, pull the red handle to disconnect the power supply ways and pick up the phone.
