MARTA Accessibility Earns Hartsfield-Jackson High Marks

April 23, 2015

Convenience to MARTA earned Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport the No. 1 rank when it comes to how customers travel to and from the airport.

A survey conducted by the Global Gateway Alliance, a New York City-based advocacy organization, awarded Atlanta’s airport the prime position for customer ease when it comes to transit access.

Global Gateway Alliance compared airport access at the world's top 30 busiest airports for passenger traffic. The survey targeted a critical aspect of the passenger’s experience: how passengers travel to and from the airport.  Based on several guidelines, Global Gateway was able to determine which airports offer the most user-friendly transit access.

Other U.S. airports rounding out the top 10 are Phoenix Sky Harbor; San Francisco; Charlotte; McCarran; Miami; O'Hare; and Dallas-Fort Worth. Kennedy Airport in New York tied with Denver for last place.
