March 26, 2015

AirSage has purchased Decell Technologies. Decell provides real-time, historical and predictive road-traffic information as well as advanced analytics solutions using cellular and GPS floating car data, services that are complementary to AirSage’s product offerings. The deal significantly expands AirSage’s product portfolio and reach, as well as re-enforces the company as the world’s largest provider of consumer locations and population movement intelligence.

“AirSage has had a long history in the transportation arena. The acquisition of Decell will allow us to provide further value in the U.S. and abroad. Decell’s expertise in travel time and speed data rounds out the AirSage product portfolio,” states Cy Smith, founder and CEO of AirSage. “We have had a long-standing, positive relationship with Decell and are thrilled to formally align their technology, intellectual property and industry expertise with ours.”

Decell Technologies, a provider of road traffic information, bases its products on analytics technologies for different sources of Floating Car Data (FCD). In addition to Israel, Decell operates in Europe, South America and Southeast Asia.

“We are very excited to join forces with AirSage and bring a united, innovative offering to a range of market segments," says Jonathan Silverberg, CEO of Decell Technologies. “AirSage's success in the U.S. constitutes a strong base for our joined worldwide operation. The companies share a vision to provide profound location and movement insights to decision makers, leading to better and safer roads, new models to reduce pollution and optimization of commercial location-related operations.”
