RTA Promotes of Gene A. Rhodes

March 20, 2015

The Greater Dayton RTA announced the recent promotion of Gene A. Rhodes to chief performance officer.

Rhodes is a key leader at RTA.  As head of the newly-formed department of performance management, he is in charge of managing, coordinating, and improving programs and projects that directly affect customers.   He oversees a staff of four.

Areas of responsibility for Rhodes include analytics for all department key performance indicators, administration of employee succession planning program, benchmarking, and major project support aimed at improving overall performance of the agency.

Rhodes has over 40 years of experience working in health care, air cargo, and trucking.  He joined RTA in early 2011.  His years of increasing responsibility managing people and processes give him the leadership skills required for the chief performance officer position, said Executive Director Mark Donaghy.

“I look forward to what Gene can bring to the agency now and in the future,” said Donaghy.  “In the context of our core values, he will work for improvement in many areas of this agency.”
