Vehicle Inspection Systems announced the deployment of a second portable brake testing unit for the State of Alaska's Department of Transportation. Following the installation of their first portable VIS-Check unit in 2014, the VIS team completed assembly and deployed a second unit in Anchorage in early January of this year.
Members of the Vehicle Inspection Systems technical and sales team traveled to Anchorage to put the finishing touches on Alaska's second portable brake tester. Weaver Bros. Inc. The VIS team was able to fulfill their obligation and complete the handover of the unit. Alaska's Department of Transportation, like several other states, have chosen the VIS-Performance Based Brake Tester portable unit to allow them the flexibility of conducting inspections at weigh scales as well as moving the equipment to different locations throughout the state.
