It's not every day your training product shares space on the same list with products and advancements that have shaped the landscape of public transit safety for the past 100 years.

Deadman's switch.  Two-way mobile radio.   Power steering.  Driver training simulators?

It's not every day your training product shares space on the same list with products and advancements that have shaped the landscape of public transit safety for the past 100 years.

Yet that is the lofty position in which FAAC's MB-2000 municipal bus simulator finds itself.  In the recent article "Commemorating 100 Years of Safety and Innovations" from the American Public Transit Association,  APTA members selected the MB-2000 as one of the top safety innovations in the transit industry.

"To be named among such important safety advances in the transit industry for the past 100 years is a significant honor," said Clayne Woodbury, FAAC's North American bus sales manager.  "When you read that list, and you reflect on what is included, to be among them is a kind of validation of our business and our mission of making and providing industry leading training products."

"Since our inception more than 40 years ago, our goal has been to understand the training needs of our markets and customers in order to engineer the most realistic virtual training environments available," said David Bouwkamp, executive director for business development.  "It is an honor to serve markets that serve us and keep us safe.  The employees of FAAC are proud of their work and to be a part of history."
