The Regional Transportation District (RTD) Board of Directors swore in five re-elected directors, two newly elected directors and chose officers for 2015 at their Board Meeting on Jan. 6.

RTD is governed by a 15-member directly-elected policy Board of Directors. Directors are elected to a four-year term and represent a specific district. Elections are staggered so that eight seats are open in one general election, seven in the next. Officer positions on the Board are voted on annually.

The new RTD Directors who were sworn in were:

  • Ernest Archuleta, District C
  • Tina Francone, District N

The re-elected RTD Directors who were sworn in were:

Walker was sworn in as Director for RTD District D on Sept. 20, 2011. He was selected by Denver Mayor Michael Hancock and confirmed by the Denver City Council to fill a vacancy. He was elected to the position in November 2012. “It’s an honor to work with such an outstanding group of board members and staff who are dedicated to enhanced improvement in public transportation, including safety, quality and enhancing the customer experience,” said re- elected Chair Chuck Sisk. “I look forward to working with the Board collaboratively and continue to pursue RTD’s mission providing quality transportation to the region, further implementation of FasTracks voter initiative, and as part of that initiative, we are preparing for the opening of five new regional projects in 2016.”
