BYD Motors Inc. announced Dec. 9 that industry veteran Macy Neshati has joined the company as vice president of bus sales. Neshati is charged with building a sales team for BYD’s North American-built Electric Buses and Coaches. Prior to joining BYD, Neshati spent the previous 17 years as vice president of sales and marketing for Complete Coach Works, helping CCW to become a dominant bus remanufacturer in North America.
He has been involved in the heavy equipment and transit industry for 35 years when he joined the Northern California Distributor for Detroit Diesel and Allison in 1979. After working within the Detroit Diesel and Allison distributor network for nearly 15 years in various roles including service and parts manager, materials manager and eventually sales manager, Neshati joined Complete Coach Works as vice president of sales and marketing and led the company to a sales growth of over 700 percent during his tenure. Neshati is a graduate of Berkeley High School and holds a Bacholar of Arts Degree in Business Management from St. Mary’s College in Orinda Ca.
