Transit Police Seek Person of Interest in Carjacking/Kidnapping Investigation

Metro Transit Police are seeking the public's assistance to identify a person of interest in a carjacking/kidnapping investigation.

Metro Transit Police are seeking the public's assistance to identify a person of interest in a carjacking/kidnapping investigation.

At approximately 12:40 a.m. Nov. 13, Metro Transit Police were notified of a carjacking/kidnapping incident. The victim reported that a suspect approached her vehicle as she was exiting the Vienna Metrorail Station in Fairfax County, Va., displayed a handgun, entered the vehicle and forced her to drive to several ATMs to withdraw cash.  The suspect released the victim at the New Carrollton Metrorail Station and left the scene.

The suspect is described as approximately 5'10" and walks with a limp to his right side.

The victim, an adult female, was not injured during the incident.

Metro Transit Police are leading the investigation and are working cooperatively with Prince George's County Police and Fairfax County Police.
