GRTC will conduct an on-board survey of bus riders who use the Temporary Transfer Plaza to assist with Plaza planning.

GRTC will conduct an on-board survey of bus riders who use the Temporary Transfer Plaza to assist with Plaza planning.

The survey will be available Aug. 17 – 23, to those riders who board buses at the Plaza.  Passengers interested in participating in the on-board survey should ask the bus operator for a blank survey when boarding the bus at the Temporary Transfer Plaza.  Upon completing the anonymous on-board survey, riders can return them to bus operators on any route.

Shortly after the on-board survey results are compiled, GRTC will share the results at public meetings that will be scheduled.  Members of the public will be invited to comment on the on-board survey findings.

The Temporary Transfer Plaza was opened on April 20, 2014.  The plaza, with its thirteen curbside bus bays along 9th and Leigh Streets, serves approximately 5,000 – 8,000 riders daily.  Installation of bus shelters, the final planned amenity, started Aug. 11.  Completion of shelter installation is scheduled by the end of August.  Construction is being performed at night to reduce rider disruption.
