First Transit Is Awarded Contract for Services To Central Connecticut Regional Planning Agency

First Transit announces that the company has been awarded the contract to provide paratransit services for the Central Connecticut Regional Planning Agency. This newly awarded contract is for four years with total projected contract revenue of more than $7 million.

First Transit announces that the company has been awarded the contract to provide paratransit services for the Central Connecticut Regional Planning Agency. This newly awarded contract is for four years with total projected contract revenue of more than $7 million.

The Central Connecticut Regional Planning Agency (CCRPA) offers transportation to persons who, because of disabilities, are unable to utilize the CT Transit fixed-route bus services. The CCRPA services are provided in compliance with the ADA and are designed to provide persons with disabilities equal access to public transportation.

First Transit Senior Vice President Tim McCann states, “We appreciate the opportunity to provide these paratransit services for the CCRPA. Shedrick Robinson will serve as First Transit General Manager for the CCRPA paratransit services. He has substantial experience and expertise within of all aspects of paratransit services. With five years in the transit industry, Robinson has held management responsibilities in large paratransit settings, including operations, planning, route development, budgeting, union negotiations, safety and training.
