First Transit announces that the company has been awarded the ongoing management, operations and maintenance of the Pasadena, Calif., fixed-route and Dial-A-Ride services for the Area Rapid Transportation System (ARTS).
Beginning July 1, the contract is for five base years with one two-year option following the base term. There are presently 36 buses and 86 employees providing more than 1.2 million trips annually to Pasadena passengers.
First Transit Region Vice President Eric Estell states, “First Transit is happy to continue our partnership with the City of Pasadena and the Area Rapid Transportation System. We remain fully committed to the highest standards in safe, reliable transportation for the communities we serve.”
