CA: Zafar Alikhan Joins Parsons Brinckerhoff

Zafar Alikhan has been named a senior transit and rail manager in the Los Angeles office of Parsons Brinckerhoff.

Zafar Alikhan has been named a senior transit and rail manager in the Los Angeles office of Parsons Brinckerhoff.

In his new position, Alikhan will manage transit projects in Southern California, including light rail, bus rapid transit, and streetcars. He has over 20 years of experience managing transit planning, design, and construction projects. Prior to joining Parsons Brinckerhoff, he was a vice president and head of the Los Angeles office of an Oregon-based engineering firm and led efforts for transit in California and across the U.S.

Alikhan received a master’s degree in urban and regional planning from the University of Michigan and a bachelor of science in civil engineering from the University of California at Los Angeles. He served as a member of the national steering committee of the Rail-Volution conference from 2011 through 2014 and is a member of the American Public Transportation Association.
