July 31, 2014
Tampa Historic Streetcar Inc. and The Gasparilla Music Festival launch unique monthly concert series on the Streetcar.

It's a concert experience like no other. The TECO Line Streetcar System and The Gasparilla Music Festival are partnering to launch a new concert series, Streetcar Live. Beginning this Saturday, and following with the 1st Saturday of each month, streetcar riders will be treated to live music from bands handpicked by Gasparilla Music Festival.

Help us kick off the start of the new mobile concert series with Bay Area favorites, Have Gun, Will Travel. Taking advantage of the unique and intimate atmosphere of the historic streetcars, the band will perform on board the Streetcar, between Centennial Park Station (Station #1) and Whiting Station (Station #11) from 7-9 p.m. The rolling concert series is all-ages and included in the TECO Line Streetcar System fare, just $2.50 for a one-way ride.

"The goal of this new concert series is to have fun, make people aware of the fantastic TECO Line Streetcar System that Tampa has, and to bring new awareness about our Urban Center," said Michael English, President of the Tampa Historic Streetcar, Inc. (THS) Board of Directors.

Streetcar Live celebrates and showcases all that Tampa has to offer by featuring local musicians on board a true Tampa icon, The TECO Line Streetcar System.
