FL: Robert Clifford Joins Parsons Brinckerhoff

Robert (Bob) Clifford, former executive director of the Tampa Bay Area Regional Transportation Authority (TBARTA), has been named vice president and Tampa area manager at Parsons Brinckerhoff.

Robert (Bob) Clifford, former executive director of the Tampa Bay Area Regional Transportation Authority (TBARTA), has been named vice president and Tampa area manager at Parsons Brinckerhoff.

In his new position, Clifford will manage Parsons Brinckerhoff’s Tampa operations. Some of the firm’s current projects in that office include I-275 reconstruction, SR 694 (Gandy Boulevard) design, SR 686 Gateway connector construction, and Choctawhatchee Bay bridge construction.

Clifford has 28 years of experience in the planning and construction of transportation facilities. As Executive Director of TBARTA from 2009 to 2014, he served as the chief executive and administrative officer for a seven-county regional transportation agency, with responsibility to plan, design, own, operate, maintain, and construct transportation facilities and services in the Tampa Bay region. From 1997 to 2009, Clifford led planning, public transportation, environmental, and project development activities at the Florida Department of Transportation, District 7.

Clifford received a bachelor of arts degree in urban planning, public administration, and public policy from the University of Tampa. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Planners, American Planning Association, and American Public Transportation Association.
