VA: Cindy McGinnis is Veolia Transportation’s New General Manager in Loudoun County

Veolia Transportation named Cindy McGinnis as the general manger at Loudoun County, which is located to the west of the greater Washington, D.C., metropolitan area.

Veolia Transportation named Cindy McGinnis as the general manger at Loudoun County, Virginia which is located to the west of the greater Washington, D.C., metropolitan area.

The announcement was made by John King, area vice president for Veolia Transportation’s Northeast Transit Division. In her new role as GM she is responsible for contract oversight and administration of Loudoun County Transit Operations.

Previous to Loudoun County McGinnis was the general manager for Veolia’s Knoxville Area Transit contract. She began her career in transit nearly 30 years ago and held key positions with Chatham Area Transit Authority, Georgia Transit Association and Piedmont Wagon Transit System. She joined Veolia in 2006.

Cindy McGinnis earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Georgia. She is an active member the American Public Transportation Association (APTA) and has served on the National Transit Institute (NTI) Board of Directors. McGinnis was named the 2010 Tennessee Public transportation Association (TPTA) Manager of the Year.
