The Regional Transportation Commission of Washoe County is asking for the community’s help to stuff a bus with essential supplies for local seniors – and those making donations will receive a great deal to see the Reno Aces.

On May 30, from 11 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., one of RTC’s new all-electric, zero emissions buses will be parked in front of the Aces ballpark. Members of the community are encouraged to help fill the bus throughout the day with items for seniors – people may even drop off donations as they head to the stadium for Friday’s Aces game. Some of the requested items include: slippers, lightweight sweaters, jackets and men’s/women’s pajamas, personal hygiene items (soap, tooth brushes and denture cleansers, etc.), bathroom towels and washcloths, small air circulation fans, adult diapers, grocery and pharmacy gift cards and transit passes.

The Reno Aces Baseball Club is dedicated to having a positive impact on the region, and is offering a “buy one, get one” deal. Anyone donating to the drive will receive a free admission ticket to a future Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday Aces game, with the purchase of a ticket.
