Anyone. Anytime. Anywhere. That is the theme of this year’s Bike to Work Day 2014 in Mesquite.
National Bike to Work Day is May 16. The month of May has been established as National Bike Month by the National League of American Bicyclist. The City of Mesquite is supporting National Bike Month as a time to promote bicycling and all of the benefits of the activity to employers in Mesquite.
City of Mesquite Planner Alexis Garcia says, “Whether it is to work, to the store, or to the park, anyone can ride a bike. National Bike Month is a chance to showcase the many benefits of bicycling. Bicycling is an affordable and fun activity for all ages that allows for physical activity for everyone and is an easily accessible form of transportation to work or school.”
