James A. Martin, P.E., PMP, has been promoted to vice president of STV. Martin is the director of rail vehicle engineering for the firm’s transportation and infrastructure division.
Martin joined STV in 1995 and has accumulated more than 25 years of experience in railcar procurement and overhaul programs, supporting a broad spectrum of clients including NJ Transit, the Connecticut Department of Transportation, Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority, Agence Métropolitaine de Transport (AMT) in Montreal, Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority and Maryland Transit Administration.

Demonstrating his leadership in the design and construction industry, Martin is a member of the National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying, and has published a number of articles for the American Public Transportation Association.
