Sabic’s Innovative Plastics business has appointed Sameer Singla as senior director of its Polymershapes distribution unit.
Singla brings nearly 20 years of global business experience and extensive knowledge of plastics and distribution to Polymershapes, an industry leader in plastic materials distribution.

With his extensive strategic leadership experience, in-depth knowledge of the distribution industry and documented successes, Sameer will undoubtedly help drive the Polymershapes business forward,” commented Keith Smith, executive vice president of Sabic’s Innovative Plastics business.

Singla’s proven track record of leadership includes key positions in a diverse range of industries including plastics, lubricants and pharmaceuticals. Most recently, he was the director of global growth initiatives at Ashland Inc., a $7.8 billion specialty chemicals company, and also served as head of marketing for Ashland’s plastics distribution business. He also owned and operated a 700-person, three-plant pharmaceutical-manufacturing firm in India where he successfully established a four-continent distributor network.
Singla holds a B.S. degree in chemical engineering and a B.A. in economics from Syracuse University, and a Masters in Business Administration from the University of North Carolina.
