Germany: Robel Delivers Maintenance Vehicles with ETCS to DB NETZ

Robel delivered the first of four maintenance vehicles for catenary installations incl. ETCS train control system to DB Netz AG in February 2014.

The infrastructure company of Deutsche Bahn expands its existing fleet. Since 2010 eight Robel-Vehicles of this series are in successful use throughout Germany.

The vehicles are equipped with two independently swivelling work platforms and enable in combination with a pushing device for the messenger cable and a stationary radio remote control. The two-engine drive concept guarantees a maximum of operational flexibility for the various work processes. In particular the high availability of the track vehicles BR 711.2 was essential for the economic success of the machine fleet during the last 4 years.
