NJ: Monir Sarker Joins Parsons Brinckerhoff

Monir Sarker has been named a supervising engineer in the Newark, N.J., office of Parsons Brinckerhoff.

Monir Sarker has been named a supervising engineer in the Newark, N.J., office of Parsons Brinckerhoff.

In his new position, Sarker will manage highway and rail projects in New Jersey.  He has over 16 years of experience in civil, structural, and utilities engineering for county and state departments of transportation as well as several international clients. Prior to joining Parsons Brinckerhoff, he was a project engineer with a New Jersey engineering firm, working on a variety of highway and tunnel projects throughout the New York/New Jersey metropolitan region.

Sarker received a Master of Science degree in engineering management from the New Jersey Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Civil Engineering degree from the University of Botswana.  He is a licensed professional engineer in New Jersey and British Columbia. Sarker is also the current president-Eelect of the North Jersey Branch of the American Society of Civil Engineers.
