MA: Mike McArdle Named Market Leader for Transportation Agencies at VHB

Jan. 21, 2014
Mike McArdle, VHB director of transit and rail, has been named the firm’s new market leader for transportation agencies.

Mike McArdle, VHB director of transit and rail, has been named the firm’s new market leader for transportation agencies.

In his new expanded role, McArdle will be responsible for leading the strategic direction and growth of the transportation agencies market for the firm — specifically focusing on state transportation agencies.

McArdle will continue his leadership in the transit and rail market, and work to deepen relationships with current clients, while working with regional leadership to help grow market share with state DOTs and agencies across VHB’s footprint. He will prioritize, develop and implement the strategic framework for transportation market growth for the firm.

“I look forward to working with our regions to help build upon our successes, while expanding opportunities for VHB to provide additional services and benefits to our clients,” said McArdle.

McArdle has dedicated his 25-year career to improving transportation on projects from Maine to Florida. He has been involved from feasibility through construction and revenue service implementation for all transit modes from rural areas to some of the most densely populated in the U.S.

McArdle is familiar with policies, procedures, and the critical challenges facing transportation agencies today. His pro-active management approach is responsive to the limited resources available to agencies and he effectively tailors short and long-term solutions that best meet their needs.

VHB Chief Strategic Officer Bill Roache said, “We’re looking forward to Mike’s leadership in his expanded role. He is well-known for his client service and has worked with most agencies along the east coast with a proven track record of successfully managing and completing high profile, complex projects.”
