The numbers are in, and HART remains a popular transportation option for riders across Hillsborough County, with November ridership reflecting that trend.

November continued showing a steady growth in HART ridership despite a difference of two fewer weekdays within the month.

That's apparent in the most recent ridership report, which shows 1,178,767 riders used HART buses to get around Hillsborough County in November.

The growth continues to be evident in the agency's daily ridership; November 5 saw the greatest daily ridership throughout the month with 57,586 trips taken on HART.

Another strong segment of steady ridership growth lies with the introduction of MetroRapid North-South in May 2013. MetroRapid ridership in November was 44,627.

"It's nice to see so many people riding the bus and finding that it works," explained HART CEO Philip Hale. "Putting more service where people want and need to go encourages ridership and attracts new customers."
