KS: Topeka Metro Honors Veterans by Offering Free Rides in November

During the month of November, active duty or retired veterans can ride the Topeka Metro fixed route service free by showing the bus operator their veteran ID when boarding the bus. Valid ID’s include:

During the month of November, active duty or retired veterans can ride the Topeka Metro fixed route service free by showing the bus operator their veteran ID when boarding the bus. Valid ID’s include:

  • Veteran’s Identification Card (VIC)
  • Common Access Card (CAC)
  • Uniformed Services ID Card
  • Form DD-214

This includes all branches of the U.S. Military: Air Force, Army, Coast Guard, Marines and Navy.

All Topeka Metro fixed route buses are A.D.A. accessible.
