Bombardier Transportation showcases its latest sustainable transport solutions at the inaugural Singapore International Transport Congress and Exhibition, from October 7 to 10. One of the main attractions is Bombardier's Movia driverless metro, the smart green urban mobility solution for cities across the Asia Pacific region. These same vehicles will shape the future of mass transit travel in Singapore — 88 three-car Movia metro trains will run on the new 42 km (26 miles) Downtown Line when all stages are fully operational in 2017.

The high-capacity Movia metro trains deliver rapid, reliable and cost-effective transport across major cities including, London, Berlin, Shanghai and New Delhi. The latest order comes from Stockholm, Sweden, where the new fleet, designed for driverless or conventional operation, will be equipped with lightweight Bombardier Flexx Eco bogies and the well-proven Bombardier Mitrac propulsion system. Movia metro trains operate with minimal energy consumption, low noise and low life cycle costs.

Featuring the wireless charging system for electric buses, the company also presents Primove, its e-mobility portfolio, including charging, battery and propulsion solutions for electric trams, buses and cars. The first Primove high-power charging station for e-buses was launched a month ago in Braunschweig, Germany.

Bombardier's CIityflo 650 communications-based train control (CBTC) mass transit solution is also on display. Bombardier has implemented its advanced technology on lines globally, including in Madrid, Shenzhen and Tianjin. The high-capacity solution is currently being delivered for major projects in London, Delhi, Kuala Lumpur and Sao Paulo. Another main attraction at the event is the Bombardier Zefiro — an economical and eco-friendly very-high-speed train.
