DC: Parsons Hires Watkins as Vice President of Strategic Development

Parsons announced it hired Jay Watkins as vice president of strategic development.

In this role, he will contribute to business development through the management and refinement of Parsons’ transportation strategy and by focusing on key customer relationships throughout North America.

Watkins has more than 35 years of experience in private- and public-sector management, including extensive experience in urban infrastructure, public policy, and strategic business innovation. He is returning to Parsons after spending the past 7 years as CEO at a project and construction management company. His previous experience at Parsons includes overseeing transportation capital programs as well as transportation operations.

Watkins holds a master’s degree in public administration from Harvard University and a bachelor’s degree from Brandeis University. He also completed the London Business School’s senior executive program. He will be based in Washington, D.C.
