Spain: Sener Will Talk About Its Sustainable Infrastructures at the FIDIC Conference

The engineering and technology group Sener will take part in the centenary conference of FIDIC, the International Federation of Consulting Engineers, which will be held Sept. 16-18 in Barcelona.

Sener will take part in the centenary conference of FIDIC, the International Federation of Consulting Engineers, which will be held Sept. 16-18 in Barcelona.

During this conference for sector professionals, the managing director of Sener's engineering and construction area, Jorge Unda, will give a talk entitled "Environmental changes. The need for a longterm commitment" in which he will explain the key role that engineering plays in the development of a world facing challenges such as population growth, limited access to resources, climate change and pollution. Unda will speak of the mission inherent in the engineering profession to improve living conditions through sustainable, eco-friendly infrastructures.

FIDIC hopes to bring together 1,500 professionals from the fields of engineering, consulting and infrastructures from 100 countries, as well as clients and representatives from financial institutions.

During the conference, they will debate together on key issues for social development such as climate change, the development of sustainable infrastructures, energy efficiency, urbanization and access to water, as well as the best financial options for obtaining funding for development.
